(VOVworld) – The Secretary General of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) announced an emergency meeting on June 23 between the Venezuelan government and opposition.

UNASUR said it will mediate the meeting to find feasible solutions to the current situation in Venezuela. Spain’s former Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, Dominica’s former President Leonel Fernandez, and Panama’s former President Martin Torrijos will be invited as mediators.
