UNICEF praises Vietnam’s child protection amid pandemic

UNICEF Representative in Vietnam Rana Flowers has lauded Vietnam for placing children at the heart of its COVID-19 response. She urged Vietnam, in collaboration with international organizations like UNICEF, to work harder to protect children against abuse, violence, cyber insecurity, and psychological traumas caused by isolation during the pandemic. Flowers said she acknowledges Vietnam’s ongoing efforts in these matters.
Mrs. Flowers said UNICEF is committed to helping Vietnam obtain COVID-19 vaccines approved for use on children by the World Health Organization.
She praised Vietnam’s efforts to contain the coronavirus and vaccinate its people as safely and quickly as possible.
