(VOVworld) – The US State Department said on Monday that the next negotiations on ending the Syrian conflict could occur as soon as October 30, and the talks eventually must involve Iran.

US State Department spokesman John Kirby said Iran would play a definite role in diplomatic efforts to resolve Syria’s civil war, given its relations with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
On the same day France said it would organize a meeting on Syria in Paris on October 27, involving leaders from important partner countries. The meeting is expected to draw representatives from western and Arab countries.
