Reuters also quoted two council diplomats of the UN Security Council as saying that Beijing and Washington reached a deal on the draft, which could go to the full 15-member council soon.

Over the past 7 weeks, China and the US have been discussing a draft resolution on restrictions against North Korea over its nuclear test on January this year. China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi and US Secretary of State John Kerry earlier made progress in Washington on a draft UN resolution to harden sanctions on North Korea.
