The new rules will allow Cubans to access US telecommunications, construction, and financial services and allow Americans to travel to Cuba without approval from the US Office of Foreign Assets Control.
US Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew said Thursday that the new rules take the US one step closer to replacing out-of-date policies on Cuba and help to promote political and economic freedom for the Cuban people.
