US Election 2024: Biden and Trump polling even
(VOVWORLD) -President Joe Biden and his opponent Donald Trump both have a support rate of 46% going into their first debate Thursday night, according to a nationwide poll published by The New York Times on Tuesday.

This is an improvement for President Biden, who has lagged in other polls over the past 9 months. The President narrowed the gap after his State of the Union speech and closed the gap after Trump was convicted of 34 felonies by a jury in New York last month.
The race is expected to be close in 7 battleground states, Trump's lead over Biden is narrow in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada, Arizona, North Carolina, and Georgia but could be enough to win those states’ electoral votes and thereby win the election.
