(VOVworld)- The US House of Representatives on Tuesday asked President Barack Obama to explain the process of deploying the new health care program called Obamacare.

Congressman Dave Camp in a memo to Marylyn Tavenner, Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, expressed his doubt that 1 million online registrations will be completed by the end of this year. Obamacare, the most divisive issue between the Republicans and the White House, led to a partial shutdown of the federal government for 16 days in October. Obamacare allows US citizens to purchase health insurance at affordable prices through the website Healthcare.gov. However, the website experienced numerous problems as soon as it was launched. The White House explained that the website was overwhelmed and collapsed. US Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius has apologized publicly many times for the website problems. President Obama has promised to resolve the issue promptly.
