(VOVworld) – The US has deployed more armed drones in Iraq to protect its military and diplomats in Baghdad.

This move came amid Iraq’s worsening security since the self-proclaimed “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant” launched attacks to occupy a series of Iraq’s cities and towns within more than two weeks. There will be about 30 to 35 surveillance missions each day across Iraq to provide exact information on the real situation to military advisers. The American advisers are planned to bring out assessment report and specific plans in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

John Kirby, the Pentagon Press Secretary, said: US security forces are always ready to fight when receiving US President Obama’s order. Previously, the US leader affirmed that the US is ready to enforce military acts if necessary.
