(VOVworld) – US high-level military officials are considering an option to provide Ukraine’s government with intelligence information, in a bid to help Kiev in the war against its eastern federalist supporters.

The White House has only provided Kiev with limited intelligence reports so far.

US intelligence reports will reveal the location of anti-government gunmen in eastern Ukraine and help Ukraine’s army to conduct airstrikes more effectively, as several of Ukraine’s aircraft have been shot down by surface-to-air missiles. No decision has been made so far, but many in the Pentagon believe that this kind of assistance can be contradictory because of the high risks that it could complicate the situation in the field.
The White House has only provided Ukraine’s government with limited intelligence reports, which includes the sharing of satellite images of anti-government gunmen’s movement and their weapons. The US government’s guideline is also to avoid providing weapons to Kiev.
