(VOVWORLD) - US President Joe Biden will host a second summit with leaders of Pacific island nations in September, Joseph Yun, the US official responsible for negotiations with key Pacific island states, said Thursday.

US officials have said the summit will take place around the time of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York.
The US has announced it will create a new 810 million USD fund to help these nations develop fisheries, adapt to climate change, promote economic growth, and develop eco-friendly infrastructure.
