US President leaves Hanoi
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump left Hanoi on Thursday after a press conference held at the end of his summit with DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un.

During his stay in Vietnam, the US President held talks with Vietnamese Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong and met Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. At the meetings, the two sides agreed to increase high-ranking delegation exchanges, strengthen current dialogue measures, continue to jointly address the aftermath of war including the decontamination of Bien Hoa airport, and boost trade and investment cooperation as a driving force of bilateral ties. The two sides discussed issues of mutual concern, and expressed support for the peaceful settlement of disputes in the East Sea in line with international law including the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, and vowed to respect legal and diplomatic processes, and effectively and fully implement the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea and soon finalize the Code of Conduct in the East Sea.
To mark the occasion, Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong and US President Donald Trump witnessed the signing of several economic deals worth more than 21 billion USD between the two countries.
