(VOVworld) - Bernie Sanders won Democratic presidential caucuses in Alaska and Washington state on Sunday, helping him narrow the gap with frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

With 100% of votes in Alaska counted, Sanders received a whopping of 80.7% while Clinton got 19.3% of support. This victory gave Sanders 13 more delegates and Clinton had 3 more.
In Washington with 93% of votes counted, Sanders won 72.3% of support while Clinton received 27.6%.
Analyzers said such victories pushed Sanders forward in the race to become the Democratic nomination for the Presidential election to be held in November.
