(VOVWORLD) - The US wants to cooperate with ASEAN to fight the Islamic State, US Pacific Command (PACOM)’s Admiral Harry Harris said Tuesday in Singapore.

Admiral Harris praised the Filipino armed forces for eliminating terrorist leaders Isnilon Hapilon and Omarkhayam Maute, and called on ASEAN to continue to fight extremists in Southeast Asia.
