(VOVworld) – US Senator John McCain spoke highly of the achievements Vietnam has made in different fields over the past 20 years and expressed his delight at his return trip to Vietnam, especially on the occasion of the 20^th anniversary of normalization of Vietnam-US diplomatic relations.

At a meeting between a US Senate delegation and students from Ho Chi Minh city’s University of Social Sciences and Humanities on Friday, Mr. McCain expressed his belief that the successful signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement will further facilitate relations. He also showed his concern over recent developments in the East Sea as well as his support for the resolution to marine conflicts based on international law.
