USAID launches PCI 2019 report
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) on Monday published the annual Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) report for 2019.
The report ranks provinces on the quality of their business environment and economic governance.
“We’re very glad to hear that the PCI 2019 shows positive trends in reform at the local level. The report has the highest average score ever. The trend of convergence has narrowed the gap in the quality of provincial governance," said VCCI Chairman Vu Tien Loc.
"The dynamism and creativity of the provincial governments have improved, the work of solving the problems of enterprises has made progress, making the overall picture of the business environment brighter. 80% of businesses expressed satisfaction with government agencies”.
