US-North Korea summit set for June 12: President Trump
(VOVWORLD) - US President Donald Trump will meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on June 12 in Singapore, Mr. Trump announced Thursday on Twitter, saying that both sides will do their best to turn this meeting into a meaningful development for the world peace.

The Singaporean Foreign Ministry confirmed it will host the US-North Korea summit and said it hopes the event will boost the peace progress on the Korean peninsula.
The same day, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe telephoned President Trump to discuss preparations for the Summit. Mr. Abe applauded North Korea’s cooperative gestures and congratulated President Trump on Pyongyang’s release of 3 American citizens.
