(VOVworld) - Various activities took place in Paris Saturday to welcome tourists to the final tournament of the quadrennial international men's football championship of Europe, or EURO 2016, which is scheduled to be from June 6th to July 10th.

As part of the activities, 500 volunteers from Paris and the Île-de-France region gathered at Paris’ Hôtel de Ville , wearing T-shirts printed the phrase “Team Paris”. The volunteers came from all walks of life, representing the diversity, activeness, and passion for football. During the tournament, they will welcome and support tourists at key venues.
Also on Saturday, the Paris Sport Park was inaugurated. The 2,500-square-meter park includes sports and entertainment areas, offering free services to the public until the end of the tournament.
