(VOVworld) - Banking, finance and insurance employees had the highest income across all sectors in Vietnam in 2014, with an average income of about 195 million VND (8,660 USD) per year.

The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) said in its Vietnam Annual Business Report 2015. Information and communications employees were the runners-up with an average income of 140 million VND per year.
They were followed closely by employees involved in the production and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and air-conditioners, with an average income of 135 million VND per year.
The income of workers in the manufacturing sector averaged 68 million VND per year, higher than the 53 million VND average in the agriculture-forestry-aquaculture sector.
Overall, the average annual income of labourers nationwide grew from 28 million VND in 2007 to 74.6 million VND in 2014.
