VFF leader congratulates Buddhists on Buddha’s birthday
(VOVWORLD) - Vice President and Secretary General of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Hau A Lenh has sent best wishes to Vietnamese Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers at home and abroad ahead of the 2562nd birth anniversary of Lord Buddha.
He sent the greetings during his Thursday visit to Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha at Ba Da Pagoda in Hanoi. Mr. Lenh called for the Buddhist Shangha’s continued support for the Vietnamese Party and State’s efforts to boost great national unity.
The Vietnam Buddhist Shangha is currently accelerating preparations to host the UN Vesak Day 2019 in Hanoi.
