VFF President pays Tet visit to policy beneficiaries in Soc Trang
(VOVWORLD) -President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s Central Committee Tran Thanh Man and local leaders paid Lunar New Year (Tet) visit to policy beneficiaries and the poor in Chau Thanh district, Soc Trang province on Saturday.
Mr. Man reiterated that the Party, State, Front, and mass organizations pay special attention to policy beneficiary and disadvantaged families nationwide. This year, the Front has built charity houses worth 1.7 million USD to 16 localities and presented gifts worth 240,000 USD to the poor. The Vietnam Red Cross Society has raised nearly 4.3 million USD to buy 2 million gift sets for the poor during Tet.
The VFF President said he hopes Soc Trang authorities continue to take a better care of the disadvantaged people, reduce poverty, and develop high-quality agriculture, and tourism.
