(VOVworld)- Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, who is also President of the Vietnam Fund for Child Protection, has visited and presented Tet gifts to poor families and social beneficiaries in Lai Chau province. Addressing a ceremony to present scholarships to local children, the Vice President asked local authorities to pay further attention to human resource development, improve the infrastructure, upgrade schools and foster the training of teachers. Ms Doan also stressed the need to ensure social security and reduce poverty.
