Mr. Chinh said that as Vietnam restructures its economy, the Government is encouraging foreign banks to help restructure banks that are weak in human resources, capital, or corporate governance. Vietnam is pushing improvement of its business environment, with priority given to digital transformation in the banking sector, to attract more foreign investment, he said.
"I believe that people are what make investors decide to invest in Vietnam," said Mr. Chinh, "We center on the people who are the motivation and master of national renewal and international integration. We don’t sacrifice social progress or environmental protection for pure growth. We Vietnamese people take pride in our unity and solidarity. The greater the difficulty is, the more determined and united we are.”
At COP26, the Vietnamese Prime Minister said Vietnam will make a strong commitment to the international community toward ensuring fairness and justice in climate change response, developing a green economy, and sustainable growth.
Vietnam will do its utmost to ensure a sustainable climate change response and create favorable conditions for investors in high priority sectors, he said.
