Vietnam Airlines’ passengers offered Tet gifts on first day of lunar year
(VOVWORLD) -National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines rang in the new lunar year (Tet) 2018 with an international flight from HCM city to Kansai city, Japan.

The flight with more than 200 passengers onboard took off at 12:20am on Friday, the first day of the Year of the Dog. The carrier’s first domestic flight in the new lunar year departed HCM city for Hanoi at 5:45am. Passengers on Vietnam Airlines’ international flights departing or arriving at Ha Noi, HCM city, and Da Nang city on Friday are offered chocolate shaped as gold bars as lucky Tet gifts.
Vietnam Airlines has decided to add more than 1,100 flights between January 1 and March 2 to meet increasing demand during the Tet holiday. 90% of its flights were on time during the peak period from February 8 and 13.
