Vietnam Airlines raises charter capital close to 1 billion USD
(VOVWORLD) - National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has increased its charter capital to nearly 1 billion USD by issuing additional shares to current shareholders.

Major shareholders of Vietnam Airlines include the Commission for the Management of State Capital at Enterprises, the State Capital and Investment Corporation, and ANA Group.
In the latest share issuance, nearly 800 million shares were sold. The State Capital and Investment Corporation spent more than 300 million USD to purchase shares.
The plan to issue additional shares to current shareholders aims to raise more money for the carrier’s business recovery from COVID-19 pandemic.
