Vietnam Airlines’ subsidiary ranks second in global service network

(VOVWORLD) - VIAGS Tan Son Nhat, a subsidiary of Vietnam Airport Ground Services Company, has been rated by the 5-star Eva Air of Chinese Taipei as having the second best passenger services on its entire flight network across the world.

Bui Duc Thanh, Director of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat, said: “Our company was placed third on Eva Air’s ranking in 2016 for its service quality. Its jump to 2nd spot out of 55 airports worldwide this year has proven our determination and efforts to improve services to exceed customers’ expectations”.

At the award ceremony on Thursday, Allen Chou, Chief Representative of Eva Air at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, said: “We would like to thank VIAGS Tan Son Nhat for your continuous improvement of service quality provided for Eva Air to meet passengers’ more stringent demand”.

Earlier AirMacau honored VIAGS Da Nang in Da Nang city and VIAGS Noi Bai in Hanoi as the second and third best ground service providers on in its global network last year. In 2017 alone, VIAGS has received 16 awards for its service quality provided by prestigious airlines, including Singapore Airlines, Korean Air, and Cathay Pacific.

VIAGS serves 600 commercial flights with more than 90,000 passengers and 3,300 tons of cargo on average each day at 3 international airports: Noi Bai, Da Nang, and Tan Son Nhat. Its on-time performance (OTP) stands at 99.96%, far above its commitment. During the summer peak season, VIAGS deploys 5,000 employers to its service chain across Vietnam to serve 70 airlines. During the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in early November, VIAGS provided service for 47 special aircraft to and from 17 countries and territories, including Russia, Japan, China, South Korea among others. The total pieces of lost property that VIAGS workers have found and handed back to passengers this year is 12,800, up 17.2% year on year and worth nearly 530,000 USD.

VIAGS’ obtainment of numerous titles honored by prestigious world airlines marks an end to its successful year of operation and confirms the 4-star service ranking that Vietnam Airlines has secured for the second consecutive year.
