Mr. Quang highlighted Vietnam’s remarkable human rights index and its eagerness to contribute to the international community.

"Vietnam is committed to multilateralism, international law, and the UN Charter. We are ready to contribute to reducing differences and enhancing mutual understanding and cooperation, with the motto “Respect and Understanding, Dialogue and Cooperation, All Human Rights for All People", said Deputy PM Quang.

Quang added that all countries share a common desire to promote and protect human rights, but they may have different approaches because of their individual history, political system, culture, and socio-economic policy.

It is necessary to understand and respect those differences and find a common denominator, rather than politicize or impose. A holistic approach should be taken in order to ensure the right to live in peace, develop, access education, and receive medical care, he said.

"The UNHRC should play a central role in promoting constructive dialogue, equality, and effective cooperation among countries on the basis of mutual respect and understanding, without politicization or division in order to connect the international community", added Mr. Quang.

Deputy PM Quang said Vietnam will contribute to the Council’s work for the sake of humanity.
