The two first prizes went to Holi Thang and Nguyet Vu for “Vietnam’s Glory” and “Head to Hanoi”. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Van An, deputy head organizer, said: “The contest results show patriotism and love of Vietnamese for their homeland and their desire to connect with compatriots around the world and support each other amid the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Organizers also presented Goodwill Ambassador medals to outstanding individuals, organizations, and press agencies who promoted the contest.
The contest, conducted from March 18 to May 31, received 277 entries from Vietnamese and foreigners all over the world. The contest was part of activities to mark the Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary, the 10th day of the third lunar month on April 2, 2020, when thousands of Vietnamese replaced their avatar photo on Facebook by a logo of the “Vietnam Ancestral Global Day.”
The Vietnam Ancestral Global Day Project was established in 2015 by scholars and leaders of Overseas Vietnamese Associations in 7 countries.
