Vietnam and Laos hold high-level talk
(VOVWORLD) - Laos Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh arrived in Hanoi on Saturday morning, beginning a three-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Laos Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh arrived in Hanoi on Saturday morning, beginning a three-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. After the welcoming ceremony, the two Prime Ministers held talks on cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. Both agreed to strengthen cooperation and mutual support for independence and self-mastering, especially in economic matter, while mobilizing international resources through integration for each country’s development.

The Vietnamese Prime Minister announced one million doses of Covid-19 vaccine grant to Laos from the Vietnamese Party, State and people. He asked for accelerating connection in the East West transport axis with the ASEAN and the express way between Hanoi and Vientiane. He voiced his support to facilitate Lao’s access to the sea via the Vung Ang seaport to become a regional logistic center. Both countries would launch the Year of Solidarity and Friendship during the Laotian Prime Minister’s visit to Vietnam. Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh is to join the 44th Joint Governmental Committee Meeting and pay a courtesy visit to Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and meet President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
