(VOVworld) – On Wednesday, President Truong Tan Sang received visiting Minister to the Lao Presidential Office Phongsavath Boupha in Hanoi.

Mr. Truong Tan Sang hailed the visit by the delegation of the Lao Presidential Office which helps tighten relations between Vietnam and Laos as well as between the Presidential Offices of the two countries. The President said Vietnam and Laos are entering a new period of development and are preparing for National Party Congresses next year. President Truong Tan Sang called for continued cooperation between Ministries, sectors and localities and between the two Presidential Offices. He said that with the ASEAN community starting up by the end of this year and Laos assuming the ASEAN presidency next year, Vietnam will help Laos successfully fulfill its new duties.
