Vietnam anticipates 7% GDP growth in 2016
(VOVworld) – The government meeting for February convened in Hanoi on Monday. Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung called for greater efforts to achieve a 7% GDP growth rate in 2016 pursuing the momentum of the economic recovery in recent years.
He said that positive results were recorded, particularly in the services, in the first two months of 2016. He asked ministries and sectors to focus on institutional reforms, creating a favorable investment environment, and grasping the opportunities from free trade agreements for investment attraction and socio-economic development. The Prime Minister also asked cabinet members to pay more attention to the implementation of key national projects and improving social security.
