Hang said Vietnam has received 18 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine from other countries and international partners and organizations.
Hang says, 'All support from other countries and partners in the fight against COVID-19 are of great importance to Vietnam. We appreciate all the support and want to continue to receive help from other countries, partners, and international organizations to improve our vaccinations to achieve herd immunity.'
Hang talked about Vietnam’s new policy on foreigners entering Vietnam and shortening quarantine time for those who have received two shots of COVID-19 vaccine and have required papers.
Hang says that the Ministry of Health on August 4 issued some quarantine instructions for foreigners entering Vietnam after having two shots of COVID-19 vaccines or fully recovering from the disease. After entering Vietnam, these people are required to take 7 days in concentrated quarantine camps and 7 days for health monitoring and provide negative COVID-19 test results. Certificates of vaccinations and recovery need to be approved and allowed in Vietnam.
Hang added the instructions are not applied to those entering Vietnam less than 14 days and other cases under the regulations of the Natonal Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control and the Ministry of Health.
