Vietnam Association for Protection of Children’s Rights opens its Congress
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights (VACR) has, over the past five years, collected child information for sociological research and surveys, supported families and children in cases of violence, abuse, and abandonment, and protected children on social networks.

The information was heard in Hanoi on Friday at the Association’s fourth Congress for the next tenure.
During the previous term, the Association had received and handled more than 100 letters, provided direct consultation and support for 300 child victims, 40 of whom the Association provided legal support.
Ha Dinh Bon, Deputy Chairman of the Association, said that the Association will promote the solidarity and coordination among individuals and organizations to protect children's rights, enhance its capacity, and innovate its operation methods.
“Efforts will be made to improve the quality of social communications and advocacy, participate in building policies and laws, supervising, advising and supporting the implementation of children's rights and solve children's issues towards creating a safe, healthy, friendly environment and improving the quality of the country's human resources," said Bon.
Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa, President of the 3rd term, was re-elected as the head of the 68-member executive committee.
