Vietnam, Australia discuss cooperation in semiconductor human resource training

During a meeting with Pat Conroy, Australia’s Minister for International Development and the Pacific, Minister Nguyen Chi Dung said that Vietnam remains an economy in transition with limited resources and in need of the support of international partners, especially Australia, to implement development goals until 2030 with a commitment to net zero emissions by 2050.
Minister Conroy said that the Australian Government always considers Vietnam an important partner and wants to advance investment cooperation and development support in the areas consistent with Vietnam’s economic development orientations.

Dung suggested that the two sides continue to coordinate closely to implement specific projects in the eight areas of priority set by the Vietnam National Innovation Center through the Australian Government’s non-refundable aid package worth 90 million AUD to Vietnam and development support programs in climate change response and sustainable development.
In addition, Dung said he hope that the two countries will further promote comprehensive cooperation in high-quality education and training of human resources, especially for the electronics and semiconductor industry.
