Vietnam, Australia strengthen radio cooperation
(VOVWORLD) - The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) has appreciated Australian assistance for Vietnam in economies, education, training, culture, and broadcasting industry.

At a reception for Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Craig Chittick at VOV’s headquarters in Hanoi on Thursday, VOV President Nguyen The Ky said the national radio station supports the Vietnam-Australia ties and Australia’s role in the Asia-Pacific region.
"The Voice of Vietnam has 8 radio channels and 17 TV channels, and 2 online and 1 print newspaper. We will open a bureau in Sydney in March. This proves VOV’s appreciation of Australia’s importance to the relationship with Vietnam and to the global economy and politics."

Ky urged the Australian concerned agencies’ support for opening VOV’s bureau in Sydney and further cooperation between VOV and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation ABC.
Ambassador Chittick said he hopes this year will see new opportunities in the Vietnam-Australia cooperation which will benefit the two countries and the world. He added that a variety of activities will be held to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic ties in 2018.
