The two leaders discussed measures to enhance bilateral ties in economy, trade, and investment, thus contributing to the two countries’ traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation.
They agreed that bilateral trade and investment cooperation have grown significantly over the years but fallen short of their fine political ties. Both pledged to boost trade promotional activities and support for businesses on both sides through the effective operation of the Vietnam-Belarus Business Council, meetings of the Vietnam-Belarus inter-governmental committee, and the two countries’ programs on economic cooperation.
They stressed the need to create new economic cooperative models in order to satisfy domestic demands of Vietnam and Belarus, as well as exports to the ASEAN markets and the Eurasian Economic Union.
Deputy Prime Minister Hue visited the high-tech company ADANI and the automobile manufacturing company MAZ, which are the leading Belarusian companies cooperating with Vietnam.
