Under the theme “Future of Work, the Choice for Vietnam”,  representatives from government agencies, social partners researchers and businesses discussed policies and practices to ensure decent employment, social welfare and human recourse development. Deputy Minister Le Van Thanh said:“We need to improve the quality of the Vietnamese workforce and leverage from our young population of 56 million labor force. Harmonious and advanced labor relations should be built. Multi channeled social welfare system should be made available to ensure no one left behind.”

The ILO reports that Vietnam has more than 70% of women and 81% of men joining the labor force with less vulnerable jobs thanks to industrialization and growing manufacturing sector.
