National Library of Vietnam on Wednesday held the event "Books for me, for you" in tribute of those involved in collecting, composing, publishing, printing, distributing and preserving books and developing reading culture in Vietnam.
Acting Director of the National Library of Vietnam Nguyen Xuan Dung said, “This year's Book and Reading Culture Day at the National Library has a lot of special activities. There are 10 events, which can be mentioned, such as book display, exhibition, thematic talks, painting by book, book story telling in English, and book donation to libraries in remote areas."
The Voice of Vietnam marked the second Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day by introducing new books in journalism, social politics, law, history, literature, and sciences written by officials and reporters of the Voice of Vietnam.
In Thua Thien-Hue province, the Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities and Hue Monuments Conservation Center on Wednesday opened an exhibition of ancient books and introduced books by King Minh Mang (1791-1841).
