Vietnam boosts international cooperation in education and training
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam always attaches great importance to cooperation in education and training with other countries, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son said at a recent reception for Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén and Ambassador of Iran Ali Akbar Nazari.

Minister Son spoke highly of Cuba’s support in providing 15 scholarships to Vietnamese students every year and said that Cuba will continue to provide Masters and Doctorate training, especially in the fields of medicine and pharmacy. Mr. Son added that the demand for learning Spanish in Vietnam is also increasing.
Regarding cooperation in education and training between Vietnam and Iran, Minister Son praised the establishment of a department for Iranian study at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities 15 years ago saying it was a milestone for promoting the study of Iranian culture and language in Vietnam.
He also expressed his hope that more books featuring Middle Eastern cultures will be introduced in Vietnam in the coming time.
