Vietnam boosts ties with Cuba

Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan made the affirmation at a reception on Tuesday for a delegation from the Cuban Council of State led by its Secretary Homero Acosta Alvarez. Ngan described the visit as a good opportunity for both nations to promote experience sharing aimed at reinforcing solidarity and improving all-round cooperation in a substantial and practical manner. She called on the two sides to strength delegation exchanges and define orientations for developing cooperative relations between the two legislatures, noting that the Vietnamese National Assembly and people have always supported the national renewal and development of the Cuban people. In reply, the Cuban guest said he greatly admired Vietnam’s renewal and socialism building achievements, adding that the aim of his visit is to learn from Vietnam’s experience, especially in judicial reform and legislation.
