Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s contributions to COVID-19 fight praised
(VOVWORLD) - The Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation praised contributions from the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha to society, especially its joint effort with the state and local administrations in the fight against COVID-19.

Truong Thi Mai made the statement at Friday’s reception in Hanoi to Most Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Vice Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Committee.
She said she hopes the VBS will increase communications to its monks, nuns, and followers to strictly abide by the epidemic prevention measures and tap achievements to make the Sangha stronger and preserve Buddhism and national values in line with the mantra “Buddhism – Nation – Socialism”.
