Vietnam builds peaceful and friendly borders with other countries
(VOV) - Senior Lieut. General Ngo Xuan Lich, Chief of the General Political Department under the Vietnam People’s Army, praised the time-honoured relationship between the armed forces and border guards of Vietnam and the three neighbouring countries of Laos, Cambodia, and China. Lich received senior military officers from Laos, Cambodia and China on Sunday who came to attend an exchange program highlighting the importance of cross-border friendship.

He said through joint patrols and conferences, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and China have strengthened cooperation in national defense and exchanged views on regional and world issues of mutual concern. He noted the current exchange program on border friendship fosters friendship and cooperation among the four countries. He also suggested the armed forces of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and China promote exchange, share experience among their border guards, plan more joint patrols, and combat trans-national crime to build common borders of peace, stability, friendship and development.
