Vietnam, China committed to increasing trade to 60 billion USD by 2015

(VOVworld)- Vietnam and China are committed to raising the bilateral trade turnover to 60 billion USD by 2015. Speaking at a press conference on Monday to announce the outcomes of the eighth session of the Vietnam-China Joint Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee, Mr. Dao Ngoc Chuong, Deputy Head of the Asia Pacific Market Department of Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, said that the two countries aimed to reduce the import surplus from China and strengthen cross border trade. Since the last session, trade relations between the two countries have grown steadily with two-way trade value reaching 41 billion USD last year. Vietnam will set up 5 trade promotion offices in China in the near future.
