(VOVworld) - Defense Minister General Phung Quang Thanh has reiterated Vietnam’s determination to develop its comprehensive cooperative relations with China, suggesting that both sides promote high-level exchange visits among young officers and expand their relationship. He made the remarks while receiving Lieutenant General Qi Jianguo, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army in the northern province of Quang Ninh on Tuesday. Qi Jianguo voiced his hope that the two armies will strengthen delegation exchange at all levels and collaboration in personnel training and border and marine work. General Qi is leading a delegation of the Chinese Defense Ministry to attend the Vietnam-China friendship border defense exchange program in Quang Ninh province.
