Vietnam, China increase comprehensive cooperation

(VOVworld) – Vietnamese Minister of Public Security Tran Dai Quang has held a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the ASEAN-China Ministerial Dialogue on Law Enforcement and Security Cooperation in China. During a meeting with Secretary of the Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Meng Jianzhu, Minister Quang said that the upcoming visit to Vietnam by Chinese President Xi Jinping will be an important miestone in the traditional friendship between the two Parties, states, and peoples. Vietnam wants to boost its comprehensive cooperation with China. The same day, Minister Quang held talks with Chinese Public Security Minister Guo Shengkun. They agreed to take necessary measures to boost comprehensive cooperation in law enforcement, preventing organized and transnational crime, terrorism, cyber crime, and trafficking in humans.

Minister Quang also held talks with Russian Minister of Home Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs Sar Kheng, Laotian Security Minister Somkeo Silavong, and Singapore Senior Minister of State Desmond Lee.
