Vietnam, China maintain momentum for further bilateral relations

(VOVWORLD) - Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the development trend in Vietnam-China relations have been maintained, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Sao Mai said in an interview with Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the 100th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (July 1).

Braving the pandemic’s difficulties with resolve, goodwill, and effort on both sides, the Party and people of China and Vietnam have taken action to minimize the negative effects of the pandemic. As a result, the development trend in political relations has been maintained, economic and trade ties have enjoyed impressive growth, and cooperation in the COVID-19 fight has been carried out effectively. The Ambassador said high-level meetings have been flexibly organized and political trust enhanced. Economic and trade links remain a bright spot. Cooperation in fighting COVID-19 has obtained significant results. The two have supported each other with medical supplies at all levels. The Ambassador said he believes that, thanks to their existing cooperation foundation and joint efforts, the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership will make even greater strides.
