Vietnam commited to dual tasks of COVID-19 fight, development
(VOVWORLD) - Despite the COVID-19 pandemic’s negative impact, the Vietnamese government is determined to turn challenges into opportunities and committed to facilitating trade and production while ensuring social security.
At a regular press conference on Monday, Minister and Chairman of the Government’s Office Mai Tien Dung said early August will determine whether or not COVID-19 will break out on a large scale, so it is necessary to mobilize all resources to deal with any outbreaks, especially the one in Da Nang. He also stressed the need to implement resolute disease prevention and control measures and at the same time fulfill socio-economic development targets.
Dung said the government will implement synchronous anti-COVID-19 measures, create the best possible conditions for the flows of goods, and accelerate public investment disbursement which is viewed as a focal political task for 2020.
