Vietnam committed to building strong ASEAN Community
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is committed to closely coordinating with the ASEAN Secretariat and other ASEAN members to build a strong ASEAN Community, said Vietnam’s new Permanent Representative to ASEAN Tran Duc Binh Monday.

Presenting his Letter of Credence to ASEAN Secretary-General Dato Lim Jock Hoi in Jakarta, Indonesia, Binh said Vietnam attaches great importance to ASEAN in its foreign policy, and pledges to contribute to the region’s stability and cooperation and support the ASEAN Secretariat.
Mr. Lim said he is ready to help Vietnam prepare to assume the role of ASEAN Chair in 2020 and harness its own goals and priorities to enhance ASEAN collaboration.
