(VOVworld) – A 55-member Vietnamese sport delegation will take part in the Children of Asia International Sports Games scheduled for July 4-17 in Russia, according to the General Department of Sports and Physical Training.

Vietnamese athletes will compete in six of 22 events, including taekwondo, swimming, track-and-field, chess, wrestling and boxing. All preparations have been finalized and they will leave for Russia on July 3.
The games, the sixth of its kind, draws athletes from 39 nations competing in such sports as basketball, volleyball, wrestling, judo, kurash, track-and-field, table tennis, weightlifting, swimming, shooting, archery, gymnastics and football. The Children of Asia International Sports Games are held every four years since 1996 in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) of Russia.
