At a meeting with donors to the country’s Support Programme to Respond to Climate Change (SP-RCC), Mr. Hai spoke highly of the achievements of the program. He expressed his hope that donors would continue to assist Vietnam to help its people better respond to climate change. Approved by the Government in December, 2008, the SP-RCC has created an action and dialogue framework between development donors and the Vietnamese government. The program has attracted nearly 1 billion USD from international donors to help Vietnam respond to climate change. The donors also spoke highly of the Vietnamese government’s efforts to complete its policies on climate change response.
