Vietnam confirms 8 more Covid-19 cases on March 18
(VOVWORLD) - On Wednesday evening, the Ministry of Health reported 8 new Covid-19 cases - four in Hanoi, two in Ho Chi Minh City, one in Hai Duong province, and one in Phu Tho province.
All 8 cases, including 2 foreigners, entered Vietnam in the past two weeks. They are being isolated in medical facilities and are all in stable health.
According to the Ministry of Health, Silkair flight MI632 from Singapore to Da Nang last Saturday and Vietnam Airlines flight VN54 from London to Hanoi last Friday carried Covid-19 cases.
The Ministry urged all passengers on those flights to immediately contact the Center for Disease Control in their province or city for instructions. The ticket agents for these passengers are responsible for notifying their customers of the Ministry’s request.
Passengers who were on Singapore Airlines flight SQ323 from Amsterdam to Singapore and took a connecting flight to Vietnam are also urged to contact the Center for Disease Control.
